The short version

From habitat patterns to a notification on your phone.

01

Our system reads community reports and habitat patterns around the clock — parks in the morning, water at night.

02

Every sighting becomes a live pin on the map, complete with time, location, and rarity tier.

03

Chase

You get a notification and the fastest route there — before the sighting disappears.

Rarity tiers

Not every pin is created equal.

Frequently asked questions.

Is PokéMapping free to use?

Yes — browsing the live map is always free and doesn't require an account. Subscribing to specific regions for notifications is optional and free as well.

How accurate are the sightings?

Reports are cross-referenced against known habitat patterns — time of day, terrain, and weather — and refreshed continuously, so confidence is always shown alongside each pin.

Can I add my own village or town?

Yes. Tap "Drop a Pin" anywhere on the map to report a sighting — including places too small to have a name on most maps.

Is my location shared when I report a sighting?

Only the pin's location is shared, never your personal device location. You choose exactly where the pin is placed before it's published.

Does PokéMapping work outside big cities?

That's the whole point — the map is built to surface remote hamlets and villages just as clearly as major cities, not just the places most apps already cover.
